Merry Xmas to all,

I have added the following groups “cdrom, audio, video, scanner, plugdev, power, lp, netdev” to my normal user account can only use the printer , scanner and access partitions as root user.

Any help would be appreciated
Cheers

To access the partitions as normal user add "haldaemon" to your user.

Mine are set up like this:
floppy
audio
video
cdrom
messagebus
haldaemon
plugdev
power
netdev
scanner
vboxusers

Hope this helps.
Happy New Year!

I don't think the latest "Live" DVD is installable. At least "I" was unable to find an installer on it.
Regular BW 13.0 is solid as a rock tho.

Well, BW13 LIVE dose indeed have an installer. It's not on the desktop as in most disro's but non the less there it is on the K menu under "system". I guess I should have looked closer.

edit:
12.2 has an installer.
Couldn't find one on 13.0.

Thanks for the info /dev/twisted. I did a clean install of the regular BW 13.0 and all is very stable and rock solid. At the moment I'm in the process of setting up some ripping and burning software. I do enjoy trying to work through the issues as they arrive. No doubts I will be posting again soon.

Thanks and Cheers
