Hi All,
I'm having problems starting Bluewhite64 Linux 12.0 miniLive on my new Toshiba Satellite A355D-S6930 laptop. I've had this problem with every other distro ( OpenSuSe, Mint, CentOS, Kubuntu, etc) except D@mn Small Linux – it loads up fine.

I'd particularly like to get BlueWhite64 going as the webpage says that it supports Turion X2 64 and I really want to get rid of Vista! It's time to take a permanent jump into linux.

When I choose “Boot from CD” it starts the boot process normally. Below is a sample of some of the text lines displayed during the boot process:

console: switching to colour.....
------ more lines ------
Ramdisk driver initialised....
------ more lines ------
SB600_PATA chipset...
------ more lines ------
hdd: lost interrupt
------ more lines ------
hdd; ATAPI 24X DVD-ROM....
------ more lines ------
uniform CD-ROM driver
hdd: lost interrupt
hdd: lost interrupt <------ repeats until the screen goes blank -----------

Seven minutes have passed from start-up to blank screen.

Another six minutes of blank screen then a more text messages showing some of the following:

----- lines ----
starting Linux live scripte < http://....
------ more lines ------
Linux live end. Starting....
Usage: init 0123456......

Another 15 minutes pass and nothing happened. I finally gave up and turn off the computer.

What do I need to do or what do you need to know to help me solve this problem?

Thanks
N.
